Vergas is known as the “Home of the Loon”, the Minnesota State Bird. There is a giant 20 foot replica of the State Bird erected on the shore of Long Lake, in the center of City Park.
You will find clean blue lakes, with many resorts and bed & breakfasts which are affordable. You will find scores of lakes surrounded by woods and natural environment. The Vergas area lives by the adage: “We are small enough to know you, but big enough to serve you!”
Make sure to stop in at one of their many specialty shops, grab a bite to eat and end the day enjoying some hand scooped ice cream on the beach! The Vergas Community Club sincerely invites you to our area!
